Radiergummistempel-Material eingetroffen! / Rubberstamp-carving material arrived!

Radiergummis schnitzen- ich hatte ja neulich schonmal darüber geschrieben. Hier ist das nicht so verbreitet wie in Amerika, wo es sogar spezielles Material dafür zu kaufen gibt-Radiergummiplatten in allen Größen und Stärken sowie spezielle Schnitzwerkzeuge! Es hat aber tatsächlich eine Weile gedauert, bis ich einen Shop gefunden habe, der auch international verschickt. Dafür waren die Sachen nach knapp ner Woche da. Jetzt habe ich 4 "kleinere" Platten und eine riesige, das sollte ne Weile reichen, bei der Größe, die ich normalerweise so schnitze...

Rubberstamp carving- I wrote about it last time. It is not very common here in Germany and so they don't sell special materials for it otherwise than in the US, where you can get special carving blocks and tools. Now I was very happy to find a shop in the US who ships international and today arrived some blocks and some tools- this will last for a while, I think!!

Kindergartentasche / Kindergarten-Bag

Auf links gedreht sieht sie irgendwie cooler aus...
Rechtzeitig zum Ende der 2 Wochen Eingewöhnungszeit ist sie fertig geworden. Ich habe diesen Schnitt etwas breiter gemacht, damit eine Brotdose reinpasst, aber ansonsten hab ich mich an die Anleitung gehalten. Lediglich die Trägerlänge hab ich nach Gefühl gemacht und die Nahtzugaben hab ich innen nochmal mit Schrägband eingefasst-wie sieht denn das sonst aus! ;-) Und eben eigentlich viel cooler, falschrum.

Just in time to the end of the two-week long accustomizing-time in kindergarten it is finished. I took this pattern and made it a bit wider for matching a lunch-box, besides this I kept on the instructions. Only the strap I cut intuitively and the seam allowances inside I edged with bias tape-what a sight would that be without! ;-) And now it looks even cooler wrong-side out.

Four-on-the-Floor Quilt Top

...ist vor ein paar Tagen fertig geworden. Jetzt ist er doch ein Stück größer als ursprünglich geplant, aber das ist nicht schlecht. Dann passen beide Jungs drauf!

...was finished some days ago. Now it has a bigger size than I primarily planned, but thats not bad. So it's enough space for both of the boys!

Kleiner Geldbeutel / Small Purse

Gestern kam ich endlich dazu, mal einen von meinen Knipsverschlüssen zu verarbeiten.
Geht schnell und ist nicht so schwer-ich war überrascht. Nur sollte man sehr ordentlich arbeiten was Klebstoff und Nahtzugaben betrifft-das übe ich noch!

Yesterday I found the time to test one of my purse frames. Fast and easy done-I'm surprised. But I should be very carefully with the glue and the seam allowances-I will practice next time!

Fundstücke / little treasure on the street

Auf dem Weg zum Kindergarten (jaa, Leopold geht jetzt in den Kindergarten!!) lag neulich ein Wertstoffsack voll mit Geschirr. Natürlich wurde er nicht mitgenommen und nachdem ich dreimal daran vorbei gegangen war, habe ich diese wunderbare 50er Schüssel gerettet. Und beim vierten Mal die zwei Kannen, drei Espressotassen (nur eine Untertasse leider) und einen Silberlöffel (nicht auf dem Bild).
Die Schüssel ist schwedisch, das Dessin heisst sinnigerweise "Picknick", bei Ebay gäbs noch ein paar andere Teile, ich hab echt Lust nochmehr davon zu kaufen, das ist ja megakultig. Und die gelbe Kanne (völlig unversehrt!!) ist von Villeroy und Boch Luxemburg, die in rosa ist leider an der Tülle angestossen, aber als Vase taugt sie trotzdem noch gut. Nur die Espressotassen sind "nur" von Picco, also Tchibo, aber trotzdem hübsch, oder sie werden Puppengeschirr.

Some days ago on my way to the kindergarten ( Leopold is going to the kindergarten now!!) there was a recycling-waste-bag lying on the street, full of dishes. They didn't pick it up, so at the third time I went along, I saved this wonderful 50ies dish, it is from a swedish manufacturer "roerstrand", the design is called "picknick". At ebay I found some more items, I'd like to buy some more pieces, I think it is really cool. The fourth time I went along, I took the two pots, three espresso-mugs (only one saucer) and a silver spoon (not on the photo). The yellow pot is totally undamaged, it is from villeroy and boch (an old, famous european manufacturer). The pink one has chips at the muzzle, but it's ok for using as vase. Only the espressomugs are simply from tchibo (a famous coffee-shop), but I like them too, they are also good for children plays.

Die zweite Oboentasche

Für mich selbst habe ich immer noch keine hinbekommen, aber eine Oboistin, mit der ich wegen einer anderen Sache gemailt hatte, hat Wind davon bekommen, daß ich gerne nähe und mich gefragt, ob ich ihr eine machen könnte.
Sie ist sooo schön geworden, bin ganz neidisch. Inzwischen wüsste ich echt 3-4 superschöne Stoffe für "meine" Tasche, heijeijei, wie soll man sich da nur entscheiden?

I didn't sew a bag for my own baroque oboe yet, but a female player who saw my blog asked me to sew one for her. So this is the second bag made by me (look here, this is the first, it is not made for me actually, but for present, sorry, this is only in german!), I love it! Now I can't decide the best fabrics for my bag, there are 3 or 4 which I like most, which should I prefer???

Quilt-along bei Crazy mom

Da muss ich natürlich mitmachen, ich hätte zwar auch noch andere Sachen zu tun, aber was solls...Zumal es am Anfang ja auch nur einen Stern pro Woche zu machen gilt, das ist echt zu schaffen Oder nicht? Wer macht noch mit? Quiltneulinge, traut Euch!!
Bin schon seit zwei Tagen wegen der Farben am überlegen, ich habe das hier gesehen und bin ganz verliebt in die Vorstellung von braun-aubergine-pink-rotweiss, vielleicht ein bisschen grün und grau noch, hmmm...

I totally want to join this quilt-along, actually there are several other tings to be done, but who cares...particularly you have only to make one star in one week, for the beginning. Thats not that timeconsuming, I think. Anyone also interested? It's a chance for all quilt-newbies!
Since two days I think about the fabric-colors. I totally fell in love with these colour-palette...
maybe I can find something around eggplant-brown-redwhite-pink, a bit of green and gray...
